MemAide helps older adults with early memory changes avoid dangerous home lapses using egocentric snapshots (not always-on video). It delivers a gentle reminder in the moment, and escalates to a caregiver only when risk persists.

What MemAide does today Now
Runs on commercial camera-enabled smart glasses (no custom hardware required). First workflow is kitchen safety: detect stove risk (e.g., burner left on after stepping away), prompt the wearer immediately, and create a simple event record only if follow-up is needed. |
Where it’s going next Soon
Expand the same prompt-first pattern to medication handling and “did I do that?” checks using brief snapshots + simple outcomes (OK / Unknown / Needs check). Privacy stays strict: snapshots, not streaming. |
